How does live matching work?
When you start a run, RunnersHi uses your location to show you other runners nearby who are also actively running. Send a "ping" to someone you'd like to connect with. If they ping back, it's a match! Your location is only shared when you're on an active run.
Is my location always being tracked?
No. Your location is only collected when you start a run in the app. When you end your run, location tracking stops immediately. We never track your location in the background when you're not actively using the run tracking feature.
How do I match with someone?
There are two ways to match: (1) Send a ping during a live run to nearby runners, or (2) Discover runners in the Discover tab and like their profile. If they like you back, it's a match!
Can I use RunnersHi with my Apple Watch?
Yes! RunnersHi has full Apple Watch support. Track your runs, monitor your stats, and send pings right from your wrist without pulling out your phone.
What happens when I match with someone?
When you match with someone, you can start chatting right away. Share your running routes, plan runs together, or just get to know each other. You can also view their profile to see their running stats and preferences.
How accurate is the GPS tracking?
RunnersHi uses your device's built-in GPS for accurate location tracking. Accuracy depends on your device and environmental factors. For best results, ensure you have a clear view of the sky and location permissions are enabled.
Is RunnersHi free to use?
Yes! RunnersHi is free to download and use. Premium features are available with a subscription, including unlimited pings, advanced filters, and more. Free users get 3 pings per run.
How do I report or block someone?
You can block or report any user from their profile or from the conversation screen. Tap the three dots menu and select "Block" or "Report." Blocked users won't be able to see your profile or contact you.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Your profile and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
What if I'm having technical issues?
Try these steps first: (1) Make sure you have the latest version of the app, (2) Restart the app, (3) Check that location permissions are enabled, (4) Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If issues persist, contact us at admin@runnershiapp.com.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel: Open Settings on your iPhone > tap your name > Subscriptions > select RunnersHi > tap Cancel Subscription. You'll have access to premium features until the end of your billing period.
